In the waters off Cozumel, beneath the surface, I was monitoring transplanted coral fragments, maintaining restoration platforms, and supporting ongoing conservation efforts to rebuild fragile reef systems impacted by climate change and human pressure.

This experience came about while I was completing my PADI Rescue Diver certification! It was important to me not just to observe the reefs, but to actively contribute and give back to the community who are working tirelessly to protect one of the ocean’s most vulnerable ecosystems – The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.

I collaborated to produce professional photos that captured their work in action, both above and below the surface, in order to improve their digital presence and spotlighted their team.
